Where are the best last-minute holidays?

Don’t fret if you haven’t booked your summer holiday yet. A late, even last-minute, holiday can save you cash, give you access to upmarket resorts, and let you stay in hotels with higher star ratings for lower prices.

We’ve put together a list of our favourite holiday resorts where you can steal a late deal, showing you what makes them unique and where you might want to stay.

Here’s our top 7 late deal destinations. Let us help you decide which fantastic destination to visit for your low price holiday!

Tenerife is first on our late deal holiday list, which often has low price tags on summer holidays if you book late. It’s an island destination packed with beautiful beaches, a great nightlife, and amazing attractions.

In Costa Adeje you’ll find some of Tenerife’s most picturesque Blue Flag beaches, as well as the opportunity for dolphin-spotting if you fancy a close encounter with the sea’s friendliest inhabitants. Adeje’s Siam Park is one of Europe’s best-loved waterparks, and certainly one of the most spectacular.

Playa de las Americas is great for the 24hr partying, Los Cristianos for the relaxed beautiful beaches, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the history, in the shape of stunning landmarks like the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

turkey holiday

Turkey is another great choice for a late deal, where you can often find a summer holiday with a low price tag but a high temperature.

Want to try something a bit different? Try Antalya, which offers an exciting quad safari adventure where you can ride rugged dirt tracks through natural forests edged by streams.

Marmaris is a great Turkish resort choice if you are looking for nightlife, Olu Deniz contains the famous Blue Lagoon which is as gorgeous as its reputation, and you’ll discover history and a dazzling culture in Side, with its ancient ruins including a Greek amphitheatre.

majorca beach

Majorca is a popular destination for visitors looking for a low price holiday, and it’s packed with variety.

One of the most unique things you can try in Majorca – and maybe even in Europe – is a visit to the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo. Here, you’ll enjoy a subterranean adventure involving one of the largest underground lakes in the world. The caves have a height of 1,200 metres in some places!

Magaluf is excellent for its intense nightlife, while Alcudia offers a stunning Blue Flag beach with the opportunity for jet skiing, scuba diving, and boats and yachts you can hire to sail the beautiful bay.

costa blanca beach

Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca is another excellent choice for finding a late deal. It’s full of theme parks and waterparks, plus a nature reserve blessed with roaring waterfalls.

Algar Waterfalls in Les Fonts de l’Algar nature reserve makes for a fabulous day trip. You’ll have endless photo opportunities at this beautiful attraction, where you’ll find cascades of glittering waters flowing into natural pools.

There are also plenty of theme parks and waterparks across Costa Blanca. Brave the epic Magnus Colossus at Terra Mitica Theme Park in Benidorm, surround yourself with wild animals at Terra Natura Zoo Theme Park, get cosy with the dolphins and even sharks at Aqua Natura Waterpark, and ride the rapids at Aqualandia Waterpark!

costa dorada beach

Costa Dorada

Costa Dorada is another top place for those who love a great theme park – and a great last-minute deal.

PortAventura in Salou is one of Spain’s most popular attractions, and has six different thrill-packed theme parks: Polynesia, China, Mediterrania, Adventure, SesamoAventura which pays tribute to Sesame Street, and Tex Mex. Each park has a different theme, and countless thrilling rides and experiences.

Salou is excellent for the nightlife, while Cambrils is a peaceful and charming ex-fishing town. La Pineda has Blue Flag beaches and the chance for day trips to Barcelona, and Cap Salou is Salou’s more relaxed neighbour.

Costa Dorada has so much choice, as well as low prices!

corfu beach

You can find Corfu holidays for a good price when you book late season, which is great news for scenery lovers, culture fans, and visitors looking for a fun nightlife.

The island of Paxos is one of the more unique experiences to enjoy while you are in Corfu. It has some of the most staggeringly pretty scenery in Greece – which is VERY high praise – so a day trip there will always be a highlight.

Sidari or Kavos are great for their lively nightlife, especially their ever-popular karaoke bars. For culture, Corfu Town is a UNESCO-listed resort, while Kérkyra Town has the archaeological museum and the Byzantine museum. Kassiopi combines both sides of the Corfu holiday coin, with its rich Roman-era history plus its late-night bars and clubs.

Corfu is one of the best places in Greece for scuba diving, so if that’s to your taste we recommend visiting Othoni, Paxi, and Paleokastrítsa.

lanzarote beach

The exotic island of Lanzarote is our final suggestion for a late deal holiday, with its volcanic landscapes and natural beauty.

A submarine safari in Lanzarote is one of the island’s most unforgettable experiences. It’s one of the most unique ways to see beneath the ocean in Lanzarote, and you won’t even have to get your hair wet!

Timanfaya National Park is made up of dormant volcanoes and looks like the craterous surface of the moon. It makes for a spectacular day trip, and covers a whole quarter of the island! If you’d rather be underground than above it, the Jameos del Agua caves are a stunning cave system and contain a restaurant, pool, and auditorium, and often feature live music and delicious food events.

Puerto del Carmen is excellent for the nightlife, while alternately you can enjoy a chilled afternoon in a café in the Old Town Harbour.
